About

TradesMath is a calculator toolbox for trade professionals: ten calculators across Electrical, Plumbing, and general Utilities, built around the NEC 2026 code edition. Every calculator is free to use in this version — there is no account and nothing to buy.

Getting started

No sign-up is needed. Open the app, pick a calculator from the list (or search by name), enter your values, and tap Calculate. Results appear with the source of every code-derived parameter and a professional disclaimer.

Calculators included

Code edition

The Edition tab shows which code edition the built-in parameters come from, when they were captured, and their source worksheets. Code parameters are versioned data, so a future code edition is delivered as an app update — you always see exactly which edition your results are based on.

Where is my data?

Entirely on your device. TradesMath performs no network requests: no account, no sync, no analytics, no tracking. Your calculation history stays in the app, and the usage tally (which calculators you use) never leaves the device — you can export it as a file from Edition → Export usage statistics if you ever want a copy.

Accuracy and professional use

Results are calculated on-device from reference parameters and standard physics formulas. They are approximations for guidance only and are not a substitute for the NEC or the judgment of a licensed professional. Local amendments, jurisdiction-adopted editions, and exact manufacturer data always take precedence — verify critical work against the current official code text and your authority having jurisdiction. Each result screen states this disclaimer.
